78Penang Port is strategically located in the Straits of Malacca on the North West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

Penang Port Commission operates the Port of Penang. It's has the latest equipments and facilities to handle containers, liquid bulk cargo, dry bulk cargo and general cargoes.
There are four terminals, one on Penang Island (Swettenham Pier) and the rest on the mainland: North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT), Butterworth Deep Water Wharves (BDWW) & Prai Bulk Cargo Terminal (PBCT).
With good road infrastructure in Malaysia's, manufactures in the northern region of Malaysia can make their shipments to clients around the globe with ease via Penang Port.
Plus, it is near by to Bayan Lepas International Airport. Just 30 minutes driving distance.
Penang Port operates a ferry service, connecting Georgetown on Penang Island (Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda) and Butterworth on the mainland (Pengkalan Sultan Abdul Halim).
All the eight ferries have been painted in vibrant colors.
The first ferry departure from Butterworth at 0600 hours, with the last at 0030 hours; and the first departure from Penang Island at 0530 hour, with the last at 0100 hour.
